Born first son of a human father, Hortense Fellmar, and a tiefling mother, Faith, Convey’s family lived in relative isolation in Willow Wood. The Fellmars were pushed to this far locale by Human shame of the past that spawned the tiefling race, the distrust of them that clouds the present, and the Armenac Church-centric vision of the future. This, coupled with the fact that His father was gifted with certain psychic abilities, that he may have used to (for the right price) ‘suggest’ agendas within the nobility and the church. This was soon discovered, and along with his deep love for a powerful tiefling avenger, had him soon ‘nicely’ told that he should move away. Though the local dragonborn who still retained power had no problem with the tiefling and human union, and had held Faith Fellmar in religious reverence for her abilities, but the human nobility pressure for disassociation won out. Though his father’s psychic ability was limited, it must have been the crossover to the tiefling bloodlines that tapped into a deeper power for Convey. His mother, a capable wielder of the arcane, noticed his gifts almost immediately after birth and gave him his modern tiefling name. After childhood, Convey started branching out into society and at first ,used his gift to manipulate others to line his pockets and his ego. Tieflings were a novelty to many, and often he found himself as the ‘entertainment’ at wealthy homes for dinner. When he finally nearly caused the death of a well loved merchant ,through psionic manipulation, the man’s wife cursed at Convey’s race instead of him as an individual. This caused an epiphany in him that he was lost to the deeper knowledge of his own race and the accurate history of the tiefling. This interest in his own history spread to interest in other races that had been involved in this area. He began to do research, both legal and otherwise through exploration of ancient grounds, tombs and other hoary locations. He often found himself at odds with various officials from the Armenac area, quick to be suspicious of the tiefling digging up the past. Admittedly, his intentions were not all noble for there was still profit to be made in antiquities and historical magical knowledge. He made his way back Willow Wood, and the village of the same name ,as a wonderful little independent base for both his historical arcane studies and his financial dealings. Though not a specific religious being, he does recognize the forces that flow through the world and beyond, but believes they are not controlled by gods.He believes in ‘unimpeded freedom to acquire wealth’, but by that ‘wealth’ is accumulation of knowledge, friendship , objects and skills.
